Pushkin Industries

At Pushkin, I led marketing strategy and audience development for Pushkin's popular podcasts, including Malcolm Gladwell's Revisionist History and Against the Rules from Michael Lewis.

I developed strategies to identify, reach, engage convey and retain listeners through paid, owned, shared, earned channels, events, and partnerships. I designed strategic, bespoke marketing plans for 30+ new shows like The Happiness Lab and Michael Lewis’ Against the Rules, plus ongoing series like Malcolm Gladwell's Revisionist History, one of the biggest podcasts of all time. As a result, I increased podcast downloads and drove more than 10 of those shows into the Apple Podcasts Top 10 chart. I've also driven 16k+ new subscribers to Pushkin’s paid subscriptions program, launched in November 2021, through a combo of strategic exclusive content promoted via ads, audio promos, and Apple partnerships.

I also designed and managed an internal metrics tracking system, contextualizing download data for the entire company and providing the executive team with a better understanding of the health of our shows and network. I built strong relationships with top distribution platforms (Spotify, Apple, Amazon, etc.) to secure first-class, creative editorial promotions. And teamed up with #1 shows and podcast networks, and other key industry players, to drive innovative partnerships that expanded Pushkin’s audience and brand equity. I created an expansive internal and external audio promotion program, generating over 10M impressions per month. And built brand awareness through a cohesive awards and events program, winning 12+ awards for our shows, network and executives (including AdWeek’s Network of the Year).


I also mentored a cross-functional marketing team of seven, including social, PR, newsletter, website and design.
